Hanzhe Dong

Hanzhe Dong is a graduate of the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL), where he earned an M.A. in Philosophy with a focus on cognitive science and philosophy of mind. His research explores the structure and functionality of mental representations, particularly the Language of Thought hypothesis and its applications in cognitive science and psychiatry. He has worked on projects ranging from the philosophy of psychiatry, addressing therapeutic models like Mentalization-Based Therapy (MBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to computationalism and the Free Energy Principle (FEP). Currently, Hanzhe is a research assistant for Professor Gualtiero Piccinini at the University of Missouri, collaborating on projects that bridge philosophy and empirical sciences.
