Carl Sachs

Carl’s primary research and teaching areas are in philosophy of mind and social/political philosophy, with a growing interest in critical social epistemology. In philosophy of mind, he is interested in the debate between representationalism and anti-representational or enactivist approaches to cognition and in the differences that discursive practices make to cognitive structures. In social and political philosophy he is interested in the critique of neoliberalism and the debate over epistemic arguments for democracy.
